Govinda Inspires The Internet With Hilarious Memes After He Rejected Avatar To Against Using Paint

A decade ago when James Cameron's Avatar was released, it created a global frenzy and dethroned Titanic to be the highest-grossing film of all time. The film also garnered numerous accolades globally including Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects Awards.

However, Bollywood veteran actor Govinda recently claimed that he was offered for a role in the blockbuster but rejected it because he didn't want his body to be painted.

"I gave the title of the film (Avatar). It turned out to be a super hit film. I had informed him (James Cameron, the director of Avatar) that the film will do really well," Govinda told India TV.

The actor further added: "I told him that I feel it will take seven years for him to complete the film. He got angry. When I said so, he asked, How can you be so sure that I won't be able to make Avatar for seven years?' I told him that what he was imagining was something almost impossible. That he has named his film 'Avatar', but he is showing aliens."

His statement quickly inspired the Internet with the best jokes and hilarious memes. A Twitter account wrote: "Govinda saying that he was offered Avatar is like saying Salman Khan was offered the Nobel Prize for Physics" while another commented: "If #Govinda was offered the role of Jake Sully in #Avatar then I was offered the role of "Maximus Decimus Meridius" in Gladiator but I refused to wear a skirt so the role went to Russell Crowe."
